HDL 2010 WORKSHOP ONLINE ABSTRACT SUBMISSION SYSTEM
Abstracts for the HDL 2010 must be submitted online through the Online Abstract Submission Form. Authors will first be required to create a user profile. After creating a profile, authors can sign in using the Access Key given to them in their account confirmation email. It is recommended that the confirmation email be kept as the Access Key will allow returning users to submit additional abstracts and make changes to a current submission until the abstract deadline. It will also be used to submit the conference registration fees (when available).
To save time during the submission process, it is suggested that authors prepare the abstract in a Word Document, using the font type Arial. Once this is done, the abstract can be copied and pasted into the text box on the Online Abstract Submission Form. If special characters are used, authors should check that these characters have not changed in the copy and paste process.
If the special characters were not copied successfully, or if the abstract contains tables, graphs or pictures, authors must use the upload feature on the Online Abstract Submission Form to upload the abstract in a .DOC format.
The character limit for the abstract (not including title and author listing) is 2,000 characters, which can include references.
PRESENTATION TYPES
The conference is accepting abstracts for oral and poster presentations, however there are limited spots available for oral presentation. Deadline for abstracts to be considered for oral presentation is January 15, 2010.
NOTE REGARDING INTERNET BROWSERS
Authors are encouraged to use Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.0 or higher or Mozilla Firefox version 2 or higher to access the Online Abstract Submission System. Other browsers (e.g. Safari) should also work.
CONFIRMATION OF ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
Authors will be sent an e-mail to confirm the successful submission of their abstract. This e-mail will contain an Abstract ID Number. This number will be displayed in your confirmation email upon successful submission of your abstract. Please refer to the Abstract ID Number in any subsequent abstract communications. If you require confirmation of your submitted abstract, please contact the Conference Secretariat.
ACCURACY OF ABSTRACTS
The accuracy of the submitted abstract is the responsibility of the authors. Abstracts will not be edited for typographical errors or corrected by HDL 2010 staff.
